This week saw the Federation, in conjunction with The Worshipful Company of Masons host the Duke of Gloucester Awards.

 

Held at Mercers’ Hall, London, the Awards celebrated the skills of stonemasons from across the industry.

In the Improver Mason category, the winner of the Carver Mason award was Ben Russell from Federation

Members, London Stone Conservation Ltd while the winner of the Project Craftsman of the Year was Rob Humphries of Fairhaven Stone, a fellow Federation Member company.

 

The Federation’s President, Iain Kennedy gave a speech on behalf of the Federation, saying


“The relationship between the Federation and The Worshipful Company of Masons is a long, and hopefully a growing one.”

 

He continued, that it was “...a great pleasure to be able to help the craft to flourish through the Awards.” 

 

It was fantastic to see Federation Members receiving recognition for their craftsmanship.
