  Weldon Stone is a family of stonemasons with a proud heritage in restoration and conservation. Our office team of four includes three classically trained masons, skilled in both banker and fixing work. The company was founded by my grandfather and father, who began as quarrymen before becoming sawyers. Over time, they established a masonry workshop, crafting worked stone for builders and fellow fixers. With experience and reputation, we expanded into fixing and, in time, main contracting. Now in our third generation, Weldon Stone continues to uphold the values of traditional craftsmanship. We remain committed to our people, investing in skill, technology, and tools that honour our trade while adapting to the needs of today.     We operate by beginning each contract with a site survey. Stone is surveyed with the architect before being measured, templated and drawn on CAD. From here our in house draughtsman creates templates for the masons. Sizes are given to our sawyers who source block and cut this six sides to create a cube ready for the masons to work. We have invested in a CNC to assist in production. Whilst it has the benefit of being cost effective, we will always want to maintain a working workshop for the banker masons. If this skill is lost it would be incredibly hard for this passed down knowledge to be replaced. All stone is worked and ready to fix prior to coming on site. This allow for a large reduction in both wastage and dust created on site.
