Last week we hosted our 2022 Stone Federation Golf Day at The Drift Golf Club in Surrey.  The event, now into its 7th year, attracted teams from across the UK, with 56 players battling it out across the 18 holes.

After a challenging but enjoyable morning of golf, the teams retired to the clubhouse for a BBQ and a chance to network with the other players.

The scores were close, but in the end, it was the Welsh Slate team, captained by Commercial Director, Michael Hallé, who took first place, followed by last year’s winners, Schlüter-Systems Ltd, captained by Head of Sales, Lee Rowland who came in 2nd.

The Longest Drive (sponsored by Fila Surface Care Solutions) prizes were won by Dave Hollingdale (Tile Ex) – 7th Hole and Matt Keane (Putney & Wood) – 18th Hole.

The Nearest the Pin prize (sponsored by Airelimestones) was won by Harrison Wood (Ethical Stone Co.).

We would like to thank all those who came and helped to make the day such a success and our sponsors for their support.  It was a wonderful opportunity to gather the industry together to network with existing contacts and form new connections.

If you would be interested in booking a team or individual place for the 2023 Golf Day, which will take place at The Drift Golf Club on Friday 5th May, please email sara@stonefed.org.uk.
