In November, we welcomed over 90 architects, structural engineers, academics, and Stone Federation members to the 3rd Stone Symposium: The Case for Stone.

Hosted in-person and also streamed online, the conference gathered some of the leading names in the conversation around natural stone’s sustainability credentials to inspire and educate.

Through a series of presentations, case studies, and panel discussions, it was an amazing opportunity to promote natural stone as the ideal sustainable construction material and develop the conversation around structural stone and its decarbonisation potential.

We would like to say a big thank you to our speakers and panellists

Amin Taha (Groupwork), Eleanora Regni (Webb Yates), Chloe Newmann (Webb Yates), Mark Taylor (Allies & Morrison), Giulliana Giorgi (Allies & Morrison), Bruni Miglio (FMDC), Will Hawkins (University of Bath), Peter Fisher (Bennetts Associates), Lisa Nunn (FMDC), Rachel Hoolahan (Orms), Tamsin Pickeral (Szerelmey), John Garside (PAYE Stonework & Restoration), Bijan Dhanani (Belmont Property), Edward Powe (Studio Folk Architects), Marcus Paine (Hutton Stone Co.) and Michael Poultney (Albion Stone PLC).
